Role:  Waking Night Support Worker – The Lighthouse (Reamcare Ltd)

Location: Raynes Park, SW London

Job Summary:

The Lighthouse Children's Home provides care for children with autism and learning disabilities and is based in Raynes Park, SW London. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexible hours and to gain experience of working with children and young people with special needs in a caring environment. The home is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural and emotional needs
  • Provide personal care to young people
  • Provide high quality, consistent care to young people

Requirements:

  • Some experience working with autistic and multiple learning disability children is preferable but we are open to applicants with little experience but strong motivation
  • Ability to interact with a range of young people
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People/Residential Childcare is preferable
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Experience working as night staff
  • Experience working in residential care

Salary: Salary £11.00 -- £11.55 (£11.55 for candidates with qualification of Children and Young People/Residential Childcare - Diploma Level 3) + potential overtime
